Intro to Working Moms Club

I have wanted to start this blog up for quite some time now, however have so much material that I don't even know where to start. I was hoping to start typing and have something great to write, but here I tap and nothing comes forward.

How I about I discuss why I want to do this. For starters, I am part of a growing population, I am a working mother. I have three children ages 3, 2, and 1. Yes, I work full time which requires frequent travel, my parents and in laws do not watch my children, we have caregivers that do that. I travel about 3-4 nights a month, not to mention leave town on long day trips at least once a week. I wouldn't be able to do any of this if it weren't for my extremely supportive husband, Mike. He really is my rock and we make a great team. When people ask me how I do it, I tell them it all has to do with my husband and our team effort to make our family life our first and foremost priority while balancing our work schedules, career goals and relationship with each other and most importantly our children. We believe that although we both work full time and with varying schedules our time away from work is spent with our children. Weeknights and weekends are consumed with Meyer Family time. It is the QUALITY of time that we choose over the QUANTITY with our children.

I drive a lot for my job and have tons of time to think. It is during these times that I wish I could just "blog it" so I can remember my thoughts and frustrations with the many things that I have on my plate and never have enough time to focus 100% attention to. I know every mother has mom guilt and each and every one of us has our own thing to be most guilty of. I am searching for some answers to my questions, some support for my frustrations, and some kudos for my accomplishments.

I do not want to discount stay at home mothers because I truly believe staying at home is much harder than going to work. I just want to vent and this is where I plan on doing it. Most blogging sites for mothers are focused on the kids and their behaviors, illnesses, issues, etc. I want to be selfish here and focus on me, the working mother and how I am coping with the many challenges each day brings both at work and home.

I invite you to join me in sharing your tips, tricks, and words of advice on how to juggle it all.

This is how we do it...
